It's All About Arts A Bostonian to the core, Shawn Robbins thrives on promoting local talents. As a mortgage Broker with Radius Financial Group, covering the Greater Boston region, Shawn knows Boston. Mr. Robbins was the 1st BNN TV 9 "It’s All About Arts" Guest Recruiter and has helped develop a strong outreach program for the show. Shawn has been key for recruiting musicians from all walks of life. Additionally, he has always helped pool his own resources for special shows such as live fashion shows or introducing our sponsors. As an artist, Mr. Robbins is an accomplished photographer. His works include frequent fashion shoots for the Newbury Street & Back Bay Guide and several projects for WGBH’s Emmy winning television show Basic Black. Singing Sensation Al Jarreau, Emmy Nominated Actress Halle Berry, Jazz Superstar Grover Washington Jr., and Tennis Champ Venus Williams are just a few of the people he has photographed. From landscapes to fashion and from portraits to event coverage, Shawn Robbins has proven his keen ability to master all types of photography. His interests in the arts go beyond photography. Shawn enjoys live music, especially jazz & Latin, acting & theater, and dancing. He loves to travel, which has brought him to Italy, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean and extensively throughout the United States. On the non-profit side, he is an active member of the Cambridge Council of Real Estate, Charlestown Business Association and has coached high school soccer for Norton High School and Oliver Ames High School. In addition, Shawn is on the Board of Trustees of the Christ Church Unity in Brookline. Mr. Robbins is able to balance his duo careers, involvement with local non-profits, and his personal life without effort. In 2002-3, he plans to get more involved in broadcasting, which will help BNN TV 9 It’s All About Arts to advance. |
