Helena Pabalate has gone through several changes in the course of her business career. Her interest in business began as a young girl when she would visit her grandfather's pipes manufacturing factory. She would watch him operate the business both from the office and on the production line. When her grandfather passed on her mother took over the business and Ms. Pabalate observed how two generarions applied their own distinctive management styles. She dreamed of one day running a business just like her mother and grandfather.

After finishing her BA in International Studies in Maryknoll College in the Philippines, Ms. Pabalate took a sales and customer service position in Citytrust Banking Corporation in Manila's financial district. After a few years, Ms. Pabalate decided to return to school for a Master's degree in Microcomputer Management at Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. After obtaining a graduate degree, she returned to the Philippines to become Assistant Treasurer in Philippine Tiles Corporation. Here, she sharpen her organizational skills and wrote daily bank control reports to ensure that the production line stayed on budget. She also made cost estimates of cement products for clients.

After four years, Ms. Pabalate decided to enhance her marketing and writing skills by pursuing a Certificate of Communication and Publishing at Harvard Extension School. She packed her bags and hit the books once again in Cambridge, MA. Today she is a marketing intern for BNN TV and looks forward to being involved in the world of Boston's acclaimed artists.
