It's All About Arts Diana La Vigne is the past Executive Producer and Co-Host of BNN TV 9 Its All About Arts. La Vigne brought 10+ years of personal and professional experience in Bostons arts and entertainment industry to the program. Previously, Ms. La Vigne held several positions that she was able to make a significant impact in the local arts and entertainment scene. As a Harvard graduate, Diana learned early on that she was destined to make a difference. During the past decade, she has organized, produced, and coordinated 150+ charitable events for local non-profits such as the American Cancer Society, AIDS Action Committee, Boston Ballet, Boston Camera Club and the Maines Children Cancer Project. Other non-profit contributions Diana made were as part of the founding team of Bostons Fashion Week and as an active and founding member of Samta, which matches students with mentors. Moving toward a Masters Degree, Diana continued her education at Hebrew College while spending summers living in Jerusalem, Israel. In Israel, Diana studied journalism at Hebrew University. In addition to her time in the Middle East, she has also lived in Africa and done extensive travel throughout Australia, North & South America, Europe, and parts of Asia. Ms. La Vigne has held several highly regarded positions including Executive Director of the Newbury Street League, which is considered one of the highest concentrations of art galleries in the world. As part of her position, she was key in bringing the renowned Boston Globe Jazz & Blues Festival to Newbury Street for the first time. She also served on the advisory committee for the Arts Festival of Boston. Next, Diana ventured into the high tech world with a short stint as publicist for BizLand, Inc. Her next experience as the Executive Director of the Brookline Chamber of Commerce, one of the top 20 chambers in the state, was a natural step given her experience. At the Chamber, Diana was involved in producing the Coolidge Corner Arts Festival and representing numerous arts and entertainment organizations while winning an award for her efforts launching an international internship program. Additionally, Diana works as a freelance journalist most frequently for the Newbury Street & Back Bay Guide contributing feature stories and fashion columns. In addition to her professional experience, Diana dabbles in many of the arts on a personal level. Performing last year at the Hatch Shell, Diana is part of the award winning MIT Bhangra Dance Troup, which performs traditional Punjab Indian dancing around the Greater Boston area. As a teenager, Diana studied cello and as an adult, she studied piano at the Boston Conservatory. In her free time, she enjoys hip-hop dancing, oil painting, photography, and writing. Most recently, she was certified as a Producer and Editor at BNN TV and working on several videos about the arts and culture. As the Executive Producer of the show for 3 years, Dianas dedication to the arts resulted in many positive things including the ability to feature over 50% more guests annually, launching an internship program, and securing major sponsorships to help with advertising and to host the annual season kick off. |
